Heyyyyyyy! Since this is one of the first few posts I want to start with a little recap. To make it easier and no blab your ear off I am going to tell you 20 things learned since becoming a small girl in a big city! This experience is something I would have never imagined... some of the absolute best times with many hard times. Through the hard times somehow with a little chocolate and good laughs we manged to see the light in them.
Seriously, everything works out exactly how its supposed to. I've learned not to settle no matter how anxious I am for something. Whether it's a job, a place to live, or even something you have been working towards.. keep working hard and it will all fall into place how it's supposed to. XO Heather

Hi guys! I hope you had a great weekend and are having a Happy Monday. I realized a few things about myself over the weekend. I am that weird person who actually doesn't mind Mondays? And I actually get a little bit excited about them. I think its because I try to cram so much into my crazy weekend that I am ready for a little structure and routine by Monday. Does anyone else feel that way!? This weekend consisted of a lot of relaxing for me but on Sunday I hopped on the train for a little get away to Montauk, NY. Montauk is at the very south tip of the peninsula of Long Island and has the first New York State lighthouse. IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL! I seriously could not stop talking about how amazing everything we got to see was and honestly being by the water was enough in itself. It's pretty crazy that we have the ability to drive or take the train a short distance and it can bring you to a whole new landscape. I am so grateful for it because its my way getting away (mostly from my own thoughts). We went through the lighthouse museum, played frisbee on the beach (until it was long gone in the water) and watched cute families take pictures with Santa while locals from the town gave out hot chocolate and cookies! Refreshing ocean air was just what I needed to get ready for a new week. Next we are going to roadtrip down the coast of Connecticut and try to stop at every lighthouse on the beach! Hopefully within the next few weeks so stay tuned. XO Heather |
